TRIAL AND ERROR EXPERIMENTS
Experiment 1 - A potential 3D printable recycle wood material
While timber is one of the most common materials for furniture and building, architects and designers have been challenging complex techniques to achieve the differential performance of timber, for example, bending, curling and laminating. This research seeks to exam an alternative approach that could be turned recycle timber as a media to test its possibility which is not only about an environmental concern, but also the main benefits to shape complex geometry.

Experiment 2 - Magnet field formation
This experiment is completed with a team Cepide Grv, Fredrik Berthagen, Daoyuan Zhu and Emre Ungor to explore more potential of the timber chips application. To acquire an understanding of material behavior, Iron and the super magnet was introduced in this project. The result depicts a force from nature and solidified the form finding process.

Experiment 3 - Material Programming
Polycaprolactone(PCL) is a biodegradable polymer, the low-temperature melting point(around 60°C), which was suggested as an alternative approach to digitally program material. To achieve multiple-scale of applications, digital form integrating between modeling, analysis and fabrication process evolves toward a future direction.
